I did see a few episodes with a plot so I may pick up the webisodes again sometime but over all I actually really enjoy the concept, I love that Raven the daughter of the evil queen doesn't want to follow the evil path of her mother, but I hate that Apple white is so mad about that going as low as to call Raven selfish for wanting to be a better person. I would hope that snow white would teach her daughter to be better than that. Apple White should be happy with the life she's given as it already seems to be pretty f---ng great. Though I dislike her personality I do think she is an adorable character.
My favorite characters in this show are Madeline Hatter, Cedar Wood, and Cerise Hood. I definitely prefer the "rebel" side of the show a lot more than the "royal" side. I'm not sure if the writers intended for the "royal" side to be so unlikable or if it was simply a lack of perspective. The Idea that the Rebel/Evil characters HAVE to follow their rebelious parents paths seems ridiculous. The school they go to actually tells them they have to be evil. It just seems a bit stupid to me. "RAVEN YOU MUST POISON APPLE AND LIVE A MISERABLE LIFE FOREVER BEING HATED AND YOU HAVE TO LIKE IT AND WANT IT!" All I can say is "Huh?" The Show would be a lot more interesting if the entire "destiny" was dropped from the storyline and they had just put all the characters in a school together to learn and decide their paths on their own and since Apple is such a snob she would be the "bad guy". If she were a girl I went to school with I would not like her one bit, in fact I'm surprised Raven even bothers with her at all. I would just ignore her completely. Why is the "royal" side called the "royal" side anyways? Why not just call it the "hero/heroine" side? Maybe I am just to logical to understand the plot and point of the show but it doesn't seem to teach anyone anything useful.
The Ever After High doll line is amazing however. The doll clothes are so fashionable and well made, and I personally really love the cute "baby" face shape on these dolls that some people may not like, but to me it represents the style of animation in the show which I always appreciate, I love accuracy. Their dolls are all ball-jointed and pose-able and come with stands and brushes just like Monster High dolls do.
